My Supports

“A friend is the one who comes in when the whole world has gone out.”

In family life, love is the oil that eases friction, the cement that binds closer together, and the music that brings harmony.

The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart.”

  1. Shira,
The quotes you used in this blog post were very meaningful and said a lot in a few words. Elisabeth Foley's quote about true friends having the ability to grow separately without growing apart is something I have experienced in my life. With our extremely busy family lives, professional lives and now school lives, I have found it difficult to make time for some of my good friends, yet when we do manage to spend time together or if I need support from them, they are there in a heart beatand we pick up our friendship easily even after gaps in communication. Those kind of supports are essential.

  2. Shira,

Thanks for sharing your page. This was a very creative way to type a little but get a major point across. True friends are very valuable to your life. The friendship bond is a cycle that never ends. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Shira,
I love your colorful and creative post! I really enjoyed all of the quotes, especially the one about growing separately without growing apart. Some of my closet friends are ones I've had since I was younger and although we have physically and geographically grown apart, we are still good friends.

  4. Shira,
Thank you for sharing those great quotes. I also love the clipart and your background. I never really understood the importance of having a support system until doing this assignment.
