Quotes on Education

"Education is a social process; education is growth; education is not a preparation for life but is life itself." ~John Dewey

"The principle goal of education is to create men (and women) who are capable of doing new things, not simply of repeating what other generations have done- men who are creative, inventive, and discoverers." ~Jean Piaget

  1. Shira,
I couldn’t agree more with your fist quote. Simply said we don’t know what we don’t know, and we learn as we go through life. Education is the answer to many social problems, it forms our views on life and attitudes, and develops our personality, as it shapes us to become who we are.

  2. Shira,
I'm so glad that you decided to choose Jean Piaget to research. I almost chose him myself. I find his studies to be extremely interesting and relative to what we are learning. I love the quote you chose from him. I certainly enjoy seeing how the children I work with come up with new and innovative ways to learn and teach others!

  4. Shira-

I loved your first quote!!! It is so true. Education is life. Everything we learn on a daily basis, the mistakes that we make, the people that we meet, and the relationships that we form, it is all a learning process. Without education we would be nothing, and the moment that we stop learning, that is when our lives become meaningless.
It is very important to incorporate education in the lives of children from the moment that they are born!!!
    Thanks for sharing!

  5. Your first quote is so awesome. I read it three or four times. Education is life.It is everything. And I agree with your second one as well. New information, new knowledge, is what keeps the world growing.
